LWB
The fourth body style to complement the range was the long wheel base which was an extra 63 cm in length which was there to accommodate a third row of forward facing seats.
These could be folded away when not in use. Another feature which could be optioned was the addition of a sliding glass partition to isolate the rear passengers from the drivers seat. The LWB models all came with the self levelling rear suspension as standard. Most were pressed into service outside European airports as private hire vehicles and also were a popular choice for funeral directors. They were also the most expensive of all the W123 range, and are now a seldom seen sight.
