The OM 616 engine was used in lots of models in the 70,s and 80,s. It was used from 1976 to 1985 in the W123 in 84 hp and 64 hp forms. The four cylinder unit as with the OM615 was a hugely popular choice with taxi and fleet drivers alike.

A hugely reliable engine giving little trouble with regular servicing and again are known for covering astronomical mileages.
